What is Cashrat?
Cashrat is expense intelligence built on your invoices. Every account gets its own invoice inbox — forward invoices to it and Cashrat automatically reads each one, extracting the vendor, dates, totals, and line items so your spend becomes searchable and ready for plain-English analysis.
How do I get invoices into Cashrat?
Two ways: forward them to your private inbox address (in the form your-slug@mg.wamp.co.za), or upload invoice files directly from your dashboard. Your inbox address appears on your dashboard once your email is verified.
Do I have to verify my email to use Cashrat?
You can sign up, sign in, and use search, the vault, and reports without verifying. The only thing locked until you verify is your receiving inbox address — verifying unlocks it so you can start forwarding invoices.
What file types can Cashrat read?
Cashrat reads PDF documents and PNG, JPEG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF images sent as attachments, as well as invoice details in the plain-text or HTML body of an email. Support for more formats is on the way.
How does Cashrat pull the data out of an invoice?
It uses a powerful AI to read each document or image and extract structured details — vendor name, invoice date, subtotal, tax, grand total, and individual line items — along with helpful category labels. A single email can contain several invoices, and each is filed separately.
Can I search and analyse my invoices?
Yes. Hybrid search combines keyword matching with AI semantic search, so you can find invoices by vendor, wording, or meaning. You can also ask questions about your data in plain English and get back tables and charts.
Is my data private?
Yes — Cashrat is privacy-first: we never share, sell, or leak your invoices or account information. Your files are held in private storage isolated per account, and downloads use secure, time-limited links.
What happens to an email that is not an invoice, or fails to process?
Nothing is silently lost. Emails that could not be processed — or were skipped because they were not invoices — appear on your Inbox page with a plain-English reason, where you can reprocess or delete them.
What languages does Cashrat support?
The interface is available in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu, and isiXhosa. You can set your preferred language in your profile; your extracted invoice data is never translated.
Which currency does Cashrat use?
You choose a display currency in your profile (South African Rand by default). It controls how amounts are shown — Cashrat stores the original numbers and does not convert between currencies.
